Rhode Island --Multiple Taxes: Budget Bill Veto Overridden
CCH (cch.taxgroup.com) reports:
On June 21, 2007, Rhode Island Governor Donald L. Carcieri vetoed the budget bill passed earlier this month by the General Assembly. Later in the day, the House of Representatives and the Senate voted to override the veto of H.B. 5300, Substitute A. The budget will be in effect when the new fiscal year begins on July 1.
